This is the fifth edition in the series entitled "Germany's Most Beautiful Citadels, Castles, and Buildings". This stein commemorates the 1,200-year anniversary of Frankfurt, a modem-day global center for industry, finance and international trade. Historical records verify the cityˇ¦s birth in the year 794 A.D., at which time it was known as "Franconofurd" A prominent relief panoramic view of the city forms the steinˇ¦s body.
The primary subject of this stein is the Roemerberg-Frankfurt's City Hall and famous tourist attraction. The Paulskirche (Churdi of St. Paul) appears behind the City Hall on the right side of the stein. Cobblestone streets form the base around the entire stein. Snow like special glazes and materials are carefully applied to the rooftops, window frames, treetops, and cobblestones of both the stein body and the lid figurine.
The Frankfurt 1,200-Year Anniversary stein is made of stoneware and is entirely painted by hand. The polished pewter lid is adomed with a hand painted miniature resin figurine, made in England, depicting the Roemerberg, the Frankfurter Cathedral, neighboring buildings, trees and a fountain. Limited edition of only 9,000 pieces. Every stein is individually numbered and includes a full-color certificate of authenticity.
