Big Ben
The name Big Ben traditionally refers not to the clock tower (St. Stephen's Tower) but to the great bell it supports.
The bell itself weighs about 13.5 tons and was cast in 1858 at the Whitechapel Bell Foundry London by George Mears,
master bell fouder and owoner of the foundry.
The Bell has a 9'-10" diameter and is 7'-6" high.
The tower rises to a total height of 316 feet.
